Thank yous and the eventual return

So as you could probably tell from the lack of mp3 posts, BTM has finished for this season. I'd like to thank all of the bands for taking the time out and making the interviews happen this year:
Misha Safonov of Jet Lag Gemini
Mercer Avenue
Steve Reter of Dropout Year
Tom Conrad of Empires
Suburban Legends
This Time Next Year
Stephen Christian of Anberlin
Kenny Vasoli of Person L/The Starting Line
Framing Hanley
Nick Madore of The Years Gone By
Anthony Martone of VersaEmerge
Shakedown Inc.
Aaron Abraham of Whole Wheat Bread
JD Perry of Valencia
I've done so much with the show this year, more than I could have ever imagined. Hell, I got two major label bands on my little show. Now that's saying something. I enjoyed every minute of the show this year and would, again, like to thank everyone who made that happen.

And yes, as the title suggests, I'm hoping to make a return to the show. Maybe not the same name, but essentially the same show. Any new info will be made available here. I had so much fun doing the show last year, of course I'd wanna continue. There were so many interviews I almost had that it'd be such a waste not to try and follow through with them this summer.

So be on the lookout for the new show, and to everyone who listened at all this year, thank you.

Steve

Thinking Patterns

Hey guys. My good friends in Thinking Patterns just posted their new single "Oh No!" over on their MySpace (myspace.com/thinkingpatterns), and it's awesome. Do me and them a favor and check it out, and make sure you let them know what you think. These guys are really good friends of mine and it'd be awesome if you would check them out.

The band will be playing their first show on June 13 in Marlboro, NJ at the Jersey Shows Get Heard Fest 2009. Breaking the Mold alumni Person L and Mercer Avenue will be playing the show, as well as Just Surrender, The AKAs, and The Ready Set. The show also boats a plethora of local acts. Over 20 bands will be playing, so make sure to check it out.

We'll interview any and all bands.....unless you sound like this:

Potential HUGE Interview

I'm potentially interviewing a huge band in the coming weeks. The band has headlined big festivals, sold out Madison Square Garden, had countless hit singles and put out one of the most influential pop-punk records in the last decade. I'm gonna keep this one under wraps for now (seems that when I let the cat out of the bag they never happen), but as soon as I know, you'll know. But trust me, if this interview does happen, it'll be the biggest interview we've ever done for Breaking the Mold. Leave your guesses in the replies, and stay tuned for info.

Check out the new EP from Dropout Year!

Dropout Year have released their latest EP, "The Way We Play," today! Pick it up on iTunes, AmazonMP3 or Smartpunk. It's another great release from the band, so make sure to grab it today. They're a bunch of great guys and they totally deserve any and all recognition they get, so please make sure to grab this today. It's awesome.

I interviewed Steve Reter from the band a few months back, so give that a listen as well. It's somewhere in the old posts, so get searchin'!

Download Links

So I just found out today that NONE of the Sendspace download links for the shows work anymore. I'll be posting direct download links soon to replace them.

Mercer Avenue on Breaking the Mold

This afternoon, Mercer Avenue will be coming to WCHS Radio for the third time for a live performance. You don't wanna miss this.

Check for the YouTube link here soon.

Also, unfortunately, due to my hours being all switched around starting next week, interviews are gonna be further apart from now on. While that sucks, the good thing is that this means we're gonna start doing full shows, and not just interviews. Interviews are hard to do early in the morning, so we have a limited time slot to do them in the afternoon. I'm losing that time slot after tomorrow, so interviews can only be done every once and awhile now. I will be doing full shows during that early slot, though, starting in March, so watch out.

Shakedown and Whole Wheat Bread Interviews

Huge thanks to the guys in Shakedown for coming in for the interview and performance. We really appreciate them taking the time out to come to the studio and sit down with us again.

The band performed a bunch of songs, as well as played an all new version of their song, "The Painter." Once we get a few issues on our end taken care of, look for individual download links for all performed tracks.
